| Brenda Pomerance (Of Counsel)
Ms. Pomerance serves as Of Counsel to the firm. Ms. Pomerance has prepared and prosecuted over 1000 patent applications for numerous clients, including Reasearch in Motion (known for its Blackberry product line), MIT, AT&T, Lucent, IBM, Citibank, Sony, Digital Equipment Corporation, Canon and Panamsat. She has written numerous patent invalidity and non-infringement opinions and drafted patent license agreements. Ms. Pomerance has served as a patent expert witness, represented defendants in patent infringement litigation and represented plaintiff in software copyright infringement litigation.
Ms. Pomerance received her undergraduate degrees (BSEE, BSCS) in 1979 from the Massachusetts Institutes of Technology. She received her Masters in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University in 1981 and her Juris Doctorate from Fordham Law School in 1991. She is licensed to practice in New York and is admitted before the U.S. District Court (Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of NY). She is also admitted before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. |
